David Carruth

has been on a linguistic odyssey for the past seven years. He minored in French, took an elective course in Chinese, spent a semester in Oxford working on his Latin, and finally came to Korea for the greatest challenge of them all. After two years of self-study, nine intensive months at Sogang Universitys Korean Language Education Center, and countless hours reading those squares, circles, and lines they call hangul, he can finally understand the enigmatic voice in the elevator (This is the first floor). He awaits your adoring compliments and scathing criticism at dc@10magazine.asia.
